After stocking up on supplies and learning about the country's rich history at the ​National Museum, I hit the road, leaving behind the comforts of urban life for the raw wilderness of the desert.Day 2: ​Sossusvlei - Dunes of Endless RedAs the sun's first rays painted the dunes with a mesmerizing golden hue, I arrived at Sossusvlei. Towering orange sand dunes surrounded me, some reaching heights of over 1,000 feet. Climbing the famous Big Daddy dune was an unforgettable challenge, but the view from the summit, with Deadvlei's ghostly white clay pan in the distance, was my reward.Day 3: Swakopmund - Where Desert Meets OceanLeaving the desert behind, I reached the coastal town of Swakopmund.
