For example, the discovery of a 16th-century "vampire grave" in Poland involved a decapitated skeleton with its head placed between its legs. Similar findings have been reported in other regions as well.
The Winchester Mystery House: Although not a traditional archaeological site, the Winchester Mystery House in California is a mansion known for its bewildering and labyrinthine architecture. Sarah Winchester, the widow of the inventor of the Winchester rifle, believed that the ghosts of those killed by her husband's invention haunted her. She continuously built onto the house to confuse and appease the spirits, resulting in a bizarre and eerie architectural marvel.
The Mummies of Nazca: In 2017, a series of elongated mummies were discovered in the Nazca region of Peru.
