  1. The Directorate General of Training under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in India offers a two-year course on Mechanic Electric Vehicle1. The course covers topics such as safety, power train, chassis, body engineering systems, and more. It also includes practical training on various systems and subsystems of electric vehicles, such as motors, motor controllers, battery packs, battery management systems, charging systems, and regenerative braking.

  2. SkillsCommons provides an Electric Vehicle Technology Certificate Program that covers advanced theory, diagnosis, and repair of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) using manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools and equipment2.

  3. CleanTechnica reports that an EV Technician Training Program will be launched in 2023. The program covers electric, hybrid, and plug-in technology systems, as well as other electrified vehicle technology offerings3.

  4. The Department of Energy offers an Electric Vehicle Champion Training Series that consists of four webinars. The series is developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the FEMP Fleet team. Those who attend all four webinars can earn up to 1.0 CEU and an EV Champion Training Certificate from FEMP4.

  5. Multitech Institute offers an E-Vehicle Repairing Course that covers automotive electronics, the working principles of electric cars, the operating principles of automotive sensors and actuators, different control units in electric vehicles, different communication protocols in electric cars, the critical roles of motors and power electronics, battery management systems, and more5.
